Teeny Tiny Miracle

Molly just called.

Under her care, the egg matured a few hours after it was retrieved and was fertilized last night.

Now we wait and see. Please keep hoping for this embryo.

Whatever happens, Thank you to Molly, for helping make this tiny little miracle!

oh my goodness, how wonderful to hear this! It is a miracle egg

    • Jeanette says:

Considering that its a Luteal Phase follicle, was immature at retrieval, matured, and successfully fertilized is already beating incredible odds. If it makes it to blast then it will be a miracle.

  2. Daryl says:

Yay, Molly! And hooray for the little egg that could! Always thinking of you and sending good vibes to you and your little blast-to-be!

I do not know the process well. How long after fertilization would implantation be attempted if the blastocyst is fit to be implanted?

    • Jeanette says:

If it makes it to blastocyst then it will be frozen until I have enough blasts to do the genetic testing on them. Or until I try another time or two and see how it goes.

My clinic doesnt like to do fresh transfers.

Good luck! Fingers and toes are crossed for you xxxx

  11. I’m stressed out just reading all of this. We should go get a wheatgrass martini or two. Or three. I hope you get a wheatgrass martini during all this pressure.

And if it doesn’t come to pass, we’ll know we gave it an excellent shot and we’ll try the next ‘thing’, right?

[that said, you’ve got enough blasts for testing now, right?]

Sending good karma and prayers your way.
